Alyssa Healy’s husband, Australian men’s cricket team star pacer Mitchell Starc, was in the commentary box as Healy completed the century. Starc’s response immediately goes viral among cricket fans around the world.
Australia claimed the series even before the 3rd ODI against India
The third of the three Australia Women’s and India Women’s matches is special as it is Healy’s last ODI match before he retires.
Your daily dose of cricket!
Australia walked into the Ninja Stadium in Hobart with a 2-0 lead as winners of the bilateral tournament. Apparently the match was more than a dead rubber on paper. But it is the iconic Australian batsman who marks the historic moment for Australian cricket, as well as women’s cricket in the world.

The wicketkeeper-batsman secured her final white-ball ton with 79 deliveries, including 18 fours. It was the 35-year-old’s eighth ODI hundred against India. As soon as she reached the hundred-run mark, the batswoman switched gears.
Before dismissing Sneh Rana, Healy also achieved a 150. Against 98 deliveries, she scored 158 runs, her second highest in the format. The 158-run knock was decorated with as many as twenty-seven fours and a pair of sixes. Today she only scored 120 of her total score across borders.

However, the iconic knock ended bizarrely. A high full toss from Sneh Rana, who was standing in the middle of the stumps, did the job. The referee had to check the height of the ball, but it was fine and Alyssa Healy headed back to the pavilion. Healy shuffled across the crease to execute a reverse shot, which he somehow failed to play and ended in a bowling out.
Alyssa Healy’s illustrated ODI career
From 2010 to 2026, Healy appeared in 126 Women’s ODI matches and scored 3777 runs for a batting average of 37.02, powered by 8 centuries. Her individual highest, 170, came against the England women’s cricket team in Christchurch on 3 April 2022.
On the eve of the final phase of the ODI career, the batsman hit hundreds back-to-back, last year in Visakhapatnam against India Women’s and Bangladesh Women’s. In the ongoing three-match ODI series, the legendary cricketer also smashed a half-century.
With Alyssa Healy’s 158 and Beth Mooney’s unbeaten 106-run knocks, Australia Women’s climbed the run mountain to score 409 for 7 wickets in 50 overs. Georgia Voll also came in handy with 62 of 52.
To win the match, the Indian women will have to score 410 runs within their 50-over limit, which is a very tough challenge. With the ball, Rana and Nallapureddy Charani claimed a brace each for India.
