Previously, flights to these cities were canceled until January 28.
The airline announced that, taking into account developments around Iran, it has made additional adjustments to the schedule of some flights.
Flights to and from Tbilisi (Georgia), Almaty (Kazakhstan), Tashkent (Uzbekistan) and Baku (Azerbaijan) have been canceled until February 11, according to a message from IndiGo on X.
For these destinations, the airline flies over Iranian airspace and avoids the region due to the current situation.
Generally, the duration of flights from India to these cities is six to seven hours. The airline operates flights on these routes with its A320neo aircraft, which do not have the range and fuel capacity to fly on longer alternative routes. Tensions between Iran and the United States have escalated and there are fears that the situation could result in a military conflict.
