Passenger car exports rose to 8,63,233 units, up 16 percent from 7,43,979 units in 2024.
The number of commercial vehicles rose 32 percent to 4,27,219 units last year, against 3,23,624 units in 2024.Passenger car deliveries rose 3 percent to 4,25,396 units in 2025, compared to 4,12,148 units in the corresponding previous year.
SIAM noted that demand has remained stable in most markets, including in the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
Maruti Suzuki led the market with shipments of 3.95 lakh units in 2025, compared to 3.26 units in 2024. The carmaker said it remains on track to achieve its target of 4 lakh exports for FY26.
“Maruti Suzuki today accounts for 46 percent of all passenger car exports from India and there is every reason that we should capture a large share of global trade,” said Rahul Bharti, Senior Executive Officer, Corporate Affairs, Maruti Suzuki India.
Two-wheeler exports stood at 49,39,706 units, up 24 percent, compared to 39,77,162 units in 2024.
Motorcycle shipments rose 27 percent to 43,01,927 units, while scooters saw an 8 percent jump to 6,20,241 units in 2025.
Three-wheeler shipments rose 43 per cent to 4,25,527 units last year from 2,98,235 units in 2024.
The total number of commercial vehicles increased by 27 percent to 91,759 units last year.
