Ind w vs aus w 2025: Smriti Mandhana is the same as the world record with the 12th ODI -century as open | Cricker

Smriti Mandhana Save another ODI-Ton during the second match of the three-competition series between India Women and Australia Women in the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh. Her 12th ODI century has made her the highest century maker of the ladies in Odi Cricket for women. She’s matched Suzie Bates from New -Zeeland and Tammy Beaumont from England for most centuries in the odis of women as opener.

The retired Meg Lanning keeps the record for most centuries of ladies with 15 to her name. Mandhana, who is only 29, has every chance to pass Lanning’s Tally and create history for Indian Cricket.

Speaking of her innings, she transferred the first border of the game through a sailing max by Ashleigh Gardner in the second. Her second six came again from Gardner when she hit the track and launched the ball into the viewing screen.

She greeted Darcie Brown with a blow through cover point and obtained a few boundaries from Ellyse Perry’s first. Her third six of the day brought up her half century of 45 balls. Towards the end of 20 overs, India had reached until 121/2. Mandhana had scored 75 of 60 balls. A gloriously raised shot in the middle of Mandhana’s 10th four, brought up the 150 of the team.

She did not take much time from there to get to the triple figure, because she raised the second fastest hundred by an Indian in the ODIs of women. Tahlia McGrath eventually rejected Mandhana in the 33rd for 117 out of 91 with Gardner who completed her catch near the deep midwicket fence. The sparkling knock was met by a standing ovation from the Indian dressing room.

The innings ended in a meek way. At a certain point it seemed inevitable that India would score well above 300. The hosts were rejected for 292 in 49.5 overs. DETPI Sharma (40 out of 53) was the second highest run-getter for the HarmanPreet Kaur-guided team, while Darcie Brown (3/42 in Acht Overs) was the most successful bowler of the opposition.
