IND vs Eng, Lord’s Test: England ended the first day of the game on 251/4 in 83 overs, with Joe Root unbeaten on 99.

In a day that was until England, none of the team seems to have dominated it. In a regional fight, both teams, did their best to dominate the game, but that wasn’t. Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley started the procedure well for England, only to lose the road in the middle and then be generated by Joe Root and Ben Stokes.

InsideSport takes a look at the most important moment of the first day of the Lord’s test.

Nitish Kumar Reddy puts visitors on top

Just when the first session of the day turned out to be a one -sided affair, Shubman Gill turned to all -rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy. And not only did he hit the day in the first day, but he skipped the English side twice in the same. First, it was the dangerous looking Ben Duckett, who flirted with a delivery from the leg stump, to be caught behind by Rishabh Pant, the second wicket of Zak Crawley was an absolute peach. The ball looked like coming in, but just drove away a bit to take the edge to the keeper.

RISHABH Pant’s Nail-Crack Werdries Team India India

In all honesty, Rishabh Pant is the most important player for this team India. And to lose him can be threatening for the visitors. In the 34th of the innings, Pant sustained an injury in the left hand, which had to leave the field. That meant that Dhruv Jurel took over the Wicket posture tasks, but it is still too seen, if panting can hit well or not. Later, various reports suggested that he broke his nail on the left index finger.

Joe Root -Scores 3K Runs against India

Former English skipper Joe Root won a special monument in the Lord’s test. He scored 3000 points against Team India, in only his 33rd game versus the country. He is on average an amazing 59 in these encounters, with 10 100s and 12 fifty to his name. Interesting is that he now also has 103 fifty plus scores, in tests.

The Bug attack & 99

If it was not for a slight delay in the procedure, due to a bug/fly attack, Joe Root would have completed his ton on the first day itself. But those three-four minutes delayed that someone else could not be pressed and root was stranded at 99 at night. He also only becomes the 17th man in history, to end the score for a day.
