Inaugural Corgi Cup this Saturday at the Meadowlands

This Saturday, October 18, is the very first Corgi Cup at the Meadowlands Racetrack!

This family-friendly event features Corgis racing on the track between live harness racing events. It’s an evening full of fun, laughter, music, dogs and horse racing. And the best part? Entrance and parking are free.

This year, eighty dog ​​competitors will compete in eight heats starting at 6pm with the Corgi Cup final on the track at 9.25pm. In each heat, ten dogs race or romp to the finish. The eight heat winners advance to the final, which takes place on the real circuit.

Special thanks to Spot & Tango – an innovative pet wellness brand on a mission to revolutionize the dog food industry. They provided our participants with some free UnKibble dog food samples and free poop bags!

In addition to the dog activity, fans can enjoy a variety of activities. They can party with DJ Alx and enjoy great food and cocktails from the song’s Backyard BBQ & Grill. Clyde’s Homemade Italian Ice & Ice Cream brings all their classic flavors plus fall favorites Pumpkin and Caramel Apple Pie. Doggieroadtrippin will be on site with pup-friendly activities and Groomington Eats will be here with the best dog treats in town.

Major simulcasting weekends followed one another with the Breeders’ Crown Finals from Woodbine Mohawk Park on October 24 and 25, and the Breeders’ Cup Championships from Del Mar on Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1. Saturday, October 25 is also the monthly handicap competition of the course. There is no entry fee (a $100 live money bankroll is required) for players, and the prize pool, guaranteed at $1,000 and funded by the Meadowlands Racetrack, is paid out to the top four finishers. The top two players will be eligible to play in the $10,000 tournament on December 13 (20 players total).

On Saturday, November 1, this year’s first-year trotters and pacers will take center stage in the Kindergarten Finals, sponsored by Crawford Farms.

It’s a SaturSLAY at the Meadowlands on Saturday, November 8 – a Dinner and Drag Show experience. Crystal Envy, RuPaul’s Drag Race 2025 Miss Congeniality winner, hosts this fun-filled evening with delicious buffet dishes, specialty cocktails, fierce performances and games.
