The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned the next two days for extremely heavy rainfall in isolated places of Karnataka while the monsoon closes. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected about Kerala and Mahe and Karnataka for six days; About Rayalaseema for two days; Kust Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on Tuesday.

IMD’s prospect for the next seven days predicts fairly widespread to widespread/moderate rainfall, with thunderstorms, lightning and gusts of wind probably over Kerala and Mahe, Lakshadweep and Karnataka. Spread to fairly widespread with thunderstorms, lightning and gusts of wind, is expected over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kust Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema and Telangana.

Twin Monsoon -Motors

The European Center for Weather forecasts in the medium term (ECMWF) expects the monsoon to hit Kerala this week, probably ‘Twin Motoren’ would ride in the form of building storms over both the Arab Sea and the Bay of Bengal.

The IMD is already vigilant of a low-pressure area that pops up over the coast of Karnataka-goa, which can intensify to become a depression. The ECMWF now predicts a counterpart system to form over the bay, an ideal situation in which the monsoon has been seen in the past to thrive and make rapid progress during the stage and then.

Projected Stormbaan

The European predictor seems to agree to the position of IMD that the storm building above the Arab Sea can arise from the coast of South Gujarat to the coast of South Pakistan,. However, it can probably be sent back on its track to the North Arab Sea, in front of the South Guujarat. At the same time, Bay System can probably also become a depression and the Odisha-West Bengal Coast will be monitored.

Landfall over Odisha-West Bengal can take place almost at the same time, because the return of Arabic sea system lies from the coast of Gujarat, and is getting a likely landing before 31 May.

Intense convection

IMD’s satellite images animation for a six -hour ending on Tuesday at 7 a.m. showed intense convection on the west coast of Kerala, Kast Karnataka to Konkan and Goa, as well as on the east coast and the adjacent interior over Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Convection is a process in which warm and moist air rises, cools and condenses to form clouds and precipitation.

Rain animal regime along the east coast is controlled by a cyclonic circulation in the upper air over the West Center Bay and adjacent South Coast Andhra Pradesh. A useful trough runs from Southeast Bay to North Interior Karnataka that cuts Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema above the cyclonic circulation over the West-Central Bay, south coast, and leads to moisture in the interior.
