The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has published an ‘Orange’ alert, who predicted heavy rain shower in parts of Jharkhand, including state capital ranchi, until 1 July, an official said.
Ranchi has witnessed the light since Sunday morning to moderate the rainfall, and its intensity will probably increase as the day progresses, the IMD officer added.
The ‘Orange’ warning (orphan prepared) for heavy rainfall was published for Khunti, Ranchi, Saraikela-Karswan, East and West Singhbhum Districts on Sunday, according to the Weerlocetin published by the IMD.
