IIT Madras to do joint research with Caterpillar Inc as a global university partner

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras has announced its collaboration to conduct joint research with the American multinational production company Caterpillar Inc. As a ‘global university partner’.

The collaboration includes research and development in the identified technology areas such as advanced production, AI and data science, mechanical engineering, autonomous mining equipment, guest turbines and engines, in addition to batteries and fuel cells. It will also include activities for talent development and internship, as well as full -time employment options for IITM students

A mou in the direction of this effect was signed by Bhuvan Anandakrishnan, Vice -President – Engineering and Country Manager, Caterpillar, India and V Kamakoti, director, Iit Madras, Manu Sanhanam, Dean (ICSR), IIT MADRACK, SHAIKE FARUYSID Engineering, Besides underwere.
