Ihsanullah lynched in Pakistan after openly challenging Abhishek Sharma

Ihsanullah, the Pakistani pacer, had claimed to dismiss Indian batsman Abhishek Sharma within three balls of the very first over he bowled to the ICC No. 1 T20I batsman. Now, former Pakistan pacer Tanvir Ahmed has slammed the pacer for his bold comments.

Forgotten Pakistan pacer Ihsanullah had thrown an open challenge to Indian batsman Abhishek Sharma after Pakistan were bumped by the Indian opening batsman during the Asia Cup. He had claimed to dismiss the batsman just inside the first three balls of an over.

Ihsanullah, trolled by Tanvir Ahmed, asked to play domestic cricket first

A guest of a Pakistani show, Tanvir Ahmed, did not take Ihsanullah’s claims seriously and made fun of the pacer, calling his claim nonsensical, especially when he himself is not fit and does not even play in Pakistan’s domestic tournaments.

“I saw that video and was shocked. If you (Ihsanullah) don’t even play domestic cricket and are unfit for the game, then what is the point of making such claims that can never be turned into reality?”

“There is absolutely no credibility in making claims that ‘I will dismiss Abhishek Sharma within three balls’ even if you are playing international cricket,” Tanvir Ahmed noted on the show. He bruised the speedster with a strict reality check.

“Even Wasim Akram never knew; I will dismiss Adam Gilchrist or Mathew Hayden in three balls” – Tanvir Ahmed

In an attempt to prove his point, Tanvir Ahmed weighed in on former Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram, who is considered one of the greatest pacers in the world. He went on to say that even the legendary pacer could not make such a bold claim as cricket is a game of implementation.

“Not even Wasim Akram can guarantee that he would dismiss Adam Gilchrist or Mathew Hayden within three balls or a certain number of deliveries,” he noted.

“You never know until you actually bowl to the batsman. Maybe once you bowl to him, he will bowl you out for runs. I openly challenge any cricketer, be it a legend in the world, to dismiss a batsman by stating the number of deliveries in advance,” he added.

Abhishek Sharma’s weakness was exposed

As the show’s host further said, “Perhaps Ihsanullah has noticed some weakness in Abhishek’s batting. Have you noticed any flaw in his batting, which could mislead him and thus dismiss him during a match?”

Tanvir Ahmed immediately replied, “Yes, every cricketer has his own weaknesses. We have discussed it before, Abhishek Sharma’s weakness lies in the deliveries bowled in and around the ‘good’ length region.”

“Despite that length, though, no one can tell you when you can get it sent off. What if the ball doesn’t swing or seam the way you want it to after being thrown at the right length?” The player made a direct attack on Ihsanullah for making this foolish claim, which he said is ruining their image and making them a laughing stock on social media.
