The partnership will give Vastu’s customer base access to two key insurance products: Income Protect, which provides cover for 33 critical illnesses, along with accidental death and permanent total disability benefits, and Home Insurance, which protects homes against fire, natural disasters, theft and accidental damage.
The partnership targets Vastu’s suburban and rural customer segments, many of whom are first-generation homeowners and self-employed. The products will be distributed through Vastu’s branch network and digital platforms.
Both companies will deploy technology-driven service features including instant policy issuance via API integration, cash claim settlement within 60 minutes via the IL TakeCare app and AI-driven claim review tools.
Anand Singhi, Chief Retail & Government Business at ICICI Lombard, said the partnership aims to bring insurance solutions closer to customers at every stage of their financial journey. Satish Nair, Chief Business Officer at Vastu Housing Finance, said the partnership supports the company’s efforts to strengthen its customers’ financial resilience, in addition to home ownership.
The rollout will take place in phases, starting with product alignment, technology integration and employee training, followed by onboarding customers through Vastu’s distribution channels.
