Sometimes (very often, in fact) I think how strange it is that I started longing for the other side of the world before I even thought about traveling to the neighboring countries. In sixth grade I was surprised by my aunt and uncle who booked an Åland cruise during the sports holiday, after which it took ages before Finland was mentioned again. In eighth grade I traveled through Denmark on my way to Germany. Norway? I was 20+ before I drove to Oslo with some friends. Never been back to the country since.
Early this year I wrote a post titled “Bucket List for Traveling in Denmark”. Even though I’m pretty bad at traveling to our nearest neighbors the ambition grows stronger every year. Of course I want to see more of the countries next year! Apparently Denmark a little extra – because sometime in March I actually bothered to write a post/bucket list of places I wanted to visit someday. At this time, no tickets have been booked and no plans are in sight. Not at all actually!

Cut to the end of 2025 and in the luggage for this year there are no fewer than three Denmark-related trips:
Listen, you should never underestimate the power of writing down your wishes on a list. Never!
