The weather here in Arizona finally changed, with cool mornings and evenings replacing the scorching sunrise-to-sunset summer heat that lasted well into October this year.

Thanks to the cool temperatures, I can finally walk around the golf course again – my favorite way to play. And now that I’m a member of the handcart club, walking feels even easier, especially with the latest edition of BIG MAX, the Blade IP 2 push cartwhich I took for a test run during my most recent round. Here are the things I liked most about it.

Portability

The best feature of the Blade IP 2 is that it folds down into a nearly flat position in just two steps, making storage and portability a breeze. The rear wheels fold automatically, taking up little space in the back of the car or in the garage, where I keep mine between rounds. It’s not heavy either: the aerospace-grade aluminum is so light (13.6 lbs) that I can easily lift it with one hand. But once the cart is locked into place for use, it feels sturdy and not flimsy.

I built my dream home golf simulator in my garage. Here’s how

Adjustable push height

The Blade IP 2 allows you to set the desired pushing height for the handle, which is a really nice feature, especially if you’re only 6 feet tall.

Two foot brakes provide sufficient stopping power even on slippery, uneven terrain.

Smooth ride

The three wheels provided a super smooth ride and I had no issues going up and down hills. I made sure to be careful when driving over curbs and other elevated surfaces, but the car experienced no performance issues during the lap.

Variety

I love that this car is available in more colors than standard black. You can choose from four other options: from white to anthracite or black with red or lime green accents.

Bungee clips

I’m not going to lie – it took me an embarrassingly long time to properly adjust to the bottom of my bag. But once I got the hang of it, I appreciated the tight pressure the cords gave to the bag, which kept it secure throughout the round.

Storage

As someone with a lot of stuff, the XL storage box on the handle is a big plus. There is plenty of room for a standard water bottle, rangefinder and more. I removed all my headgear before playing, but investing in a basket that extends across the bottom of the cart would be a wise move for anyone who likes to have more stuff open instead of zipping into your bag.

Ultimately, the only thing I think could be improved on the car was the addition of a few accessories, such as an external cup holder and a phone clip. But as luck would have it, BIG MAX is currently running an epic promotion: every push cart order includes a free accessory bundle (attachable cup holder, phone holder, and umbrella holder) – a $87.50 value! So take advantage while you still can. If you are a walking golfer, you will definitely enjoy everything this push cart has to offer.
