I just received this email on Friday from the club offering me tickets for Newcastle United against Qarabag

Fans are receiving emails offering them tickets for Newcastle United against Qarabag.

My mate is a member of Newcastle United and this ended up in his inbox on Friday afternoon:

There are a limited number of tickets available!

Following the initial ticket sales phase for the Qarabag FK (H) match, we now have a limited number of places available in the Leazes Level 7 stand, due to returns from the visiting club.

Since you were not successful on the first ballot, these tickets are being offered to you on a first-come, first-served basis.”

My friends say he was indeed knocked back in the last Champions League vote, BUT he did get tickets for Newcastle United against Qarabag in the later members queue sale.

Using his membership login (only those who receive an email from the club can view and purchase these tickets, at least I’m pretty sure that’s how it works) I had a look at the ticket site and there appear to be around 500 of these Newcastle United v Qarabag tickets available now.

Indeed, they are where the visiting fans normally go.

On Level 7 of Leazes End, Qarabag fans still seem to have the final three sections closest to the East Stand, these are L7K, L7L and L7M.

These tickets available now are located in L7H and L7J. Looking from the pitch, these are the two sections in addition to the three left for Qarabag fans at Level 7.

With the crushing 6-1 win in the first leg, there may not be such a rush of fans willing to pay £70 (adult price) for these newly made tickets.
