Chelsea defender Levi Colwill says that he still has to reach the level he wanted as a defender.
The 22-year-old came through the youth ranks at Chelsea who heard stories from John Terry, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba winning titles.
He is already considered one of the leaders of Stamford Bridge by manager Enzo Maresca and his colleagues in the dressing room.
Although it is a permanent starter for Chelsea, Colwill in a chat with Tribalfootball said he was struggling in the 2024-25 season.
“I am not nearly in the neighborhood where I would like to be. Defending a-V-One has been difficult, but I think I have proven that I am getting a little better.

“I am good at times when I try to make fit and there are other times when I have been a little lazy.
“We all know how big this club is and how the culture of the club has always been to win. We just try to strengthen that to the young boys, for the boys who come in, that this club is only for winners. That’s what we should strive for.”
Colwill also revealed that he was struggling when he serves in England, but followed the advice of an employee to read the book Atomic Habits by James Clear to help him deal with various environments.
“Of course it will be a huge season for me,” he said. “Chelsea is back in the Champions League, we have the Premier League where we want to continue and do better than this season.
“Looking at the end of the season with the World Cup, it will be a big goal to be there.”
