-Hyundai has problems with Palisade Safety belts on the front seats and second row window seats in around 569,000 palisades.
Called 2020-2025 Hyundai Palisade SUVs equipped with safety belt buckles that may not be locked.
Hyundai advises passengers to put the safety belts firmly in the buckles with “fast and direct movement, which pulls the belt to confirm that the safety belt is fully protected until the recall is carried out.”
The recall follows a federal Hyundai Palisade research from August 2024 into safety problems.
Hyundai says that the split of the seat belt may have defective components that can disrupt the locking channels, especially at cold temperatures.
“Incorrectly produced buckles of the safety belts, combined with slow insertion of the seaside seat belt, can prevent the rinse belt from being completely locked.” – Hyundai
Hyundai customers can realize that the audible click can be lighter than normal when attaching the safety belt. And an unbent safety belt must activate additional warnings.
Hyundai has been aware of approximately 550 Palisade Safety belt reports from 4 September 2019 to 9 July 2025.
Hyundai dealers will replace the buckles of the Palisade Safety belt if necessary. Hyundai Palisade Buckle Buckle Recall Letters will be emailed from November 10, 2025.
Palisade owners can contact Hyundai on 855-371-9460 and ask for Hyundai Palisade Santor Belt Buckle Recall Number 283.
