The Tigers are in the playoffs Preston North End, Millwall and Ipswich Town. They have won their last two matches on the spin.

In this latest update on Palmer’s condition, Jakirovic said, according to a report from HullLive: “Kasey Palmer is back in the fold so we’ll see how he goes because he’s been out of football for two months.”

Hull City won 3-1 at Millwall last time. Kyle Joseph scored twice against the Lions at The Den, while Oli McBurnie also got himself on the scoresheet in London.

The team from East Yorkshire survived last season on only goal difference. They have now managed to turn around and are now dreaming of promotion to the Premier League.

Jakirovic was appointed as head coach in June following their decision to part ways with Ruben Selles. The former NK Maribor, Rijeka and Dynamo Zagreb man left Kayserispor to take up a new challenge in England.

Hull City injury latest involving Kasey Palmer

Hull City will be happy to have Palmer back. He gives HCAFC another option to choose from.

The attacking midfielder has made eight appearances in all competitions this season, including seven in the league. He is under contract at the MKM Stadium until June 2027.

Palmer, 29, joined the Tigers from Coventry City in 2024 under former head coach Tim Walter. Last season he made 26 appearances and found the net once against Stoke City.

The Jamaican international, who has 22 caps to his name, is an experienced player in the Football League, having made more than 250 appearances in his career to date. He has also had spells with the likes of Chelsea, Huddersfield Town, Derby County, Blackburn Rovers, Bristol City and Swansea City.

What next for Kasey Palmer at Hull City?

Hull City may have to make a decision on Palmer’s future before the January transfer window. HCAFC has the opportunity to relieve him this winter if necessary.

He hasn’t been able to make the impact he wanted since being picked up by the Tigers. HullLive reported on final deadline day that he was the subject of ‘tentative’ interest from elsewhere.

Jakirovic is likely to be cautious with Palmer ahead of the upcoming clashes against West Brom and Sheffield Wednesday. He won’t want to rush it back after a while and will only play it when he is fully fit to play.
