Marti Cifuentes makes his twists in his selections. It seems like a random setup from game to game. We think he has an eye on the match programme. He tries to get as many players into action as possible. This approach carries the risk of instability and creates many strange paths in the game.

Leicester look solid on the ball. Jannik Vestergaard and Harry Winks seem to be achieving some sort of stability and form at the moment. However, the rest of the players struggle with their movement and placement.

Early on, Leicester had control and possession. However, they lacked penetration and power in the penalty area. We were unable to create clear goal chances. Hull seized their opportunity when it presented itself. After a great set-up, Liam Miller scored a beauty after 8 minutes.

Leicester were 1-0 down, but continued to put pressure on Hull. But again Hamza’s usage bothers Choudhury as he almost constantly stops to play the ball backwards. The same can be said about Luke Thomas. He had another stinking match. He did not fulfill the attacking role of a full-back.

Leicester pushed on in an attempt to get the equalizer, but in the 31st minute it was time for another Hull goal. They cut a Leicester pass short and took advantage. Fantastic attacking football from Hull ended in Joe Gelhardt hitting the ball into the net. 2-0 for Huls.

Leicester had more ball possession than Hull. However, they never took advantage of that. If you don’t benefit from ownership, there is no purpose. No one seems safe on this team. The rotation appears to be complete. You will never get a balanced movement. It’s a far cry from building the communication needed between the players on the field.

Marti Cifuentes had to make his changes at half-time, bringing on Monga for Daka and Ramsey for James. Daka had a terrible first half, James had no luck with his performance. But the symptoms for Leicester are visible: changes, changes and more changes.

Not seeing Jeremy Monga play from the start is a disastrous move by Marti Cifuentes. Aaron Ramsey should also start. He has to use his two best players. Both have the potential to create chances and score goals. They need more playing time to understand their roles and improve from game to game.

The problem for Marti Cifuentes is that he has too many options and his rotation isn’t working the way he thinks it should. So why he continues to do this is difficult to understand. The change at halftime made the team much better.

Leicester are the better team and Aaron Ramsey’s goal after 67 minutes is a picture. Later, Harry Winks had a great opportunity. It could have been a draw, but the ball hit the crossbar and came back out. Not to forget, Jacub Stolarczyk made a crucial save late in the second half, with Hull coming close to taking a 3-1 lead.

We think Leicester could have easily been rewarded with two penalties, but they were on the edge and would have been soft if they had been conceded. Hull fought well and eventually came out on top.

There should be no panic. It is recommended to maintain a little stability. Also featuring Aaron Ramsey and Jeremy Monga. Please understand.

After today, Leicester is in eighth place, Hull one place higher. This certainly meant three more points lost, but it was still only the second defeat this season. Hopefully Leicester will be back to winning ways against Millwall on Saturday.
