A small country alone has no negotiation forces to the US, said the Brazilian president
Brazil will discuss an answer to the rates of US President Donald Trump with other Brics -countries, told Reuters to the Brazilian Presacio Lula da Silva in an interview that was published on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, Trump announced that at the end of August he would increase the rates for India – another founder of Brics Nation – to 50%. Earlier this week, Trump has already delivered 50% tasks on Brazilian goods in a movement that convicted Brasilia as an illegal attempt to politically influence internal policy.
Lula said he would contact other BRICS countries and discussed how to tackle the rates. Moreover, he said he would reach his Chinese and Indian counterparts, Xi Jinping and Narendra Modi, followed by other leaders, Reuters wrote.
“I’m going to try to discuss with them about how everyone is doing in this situation, what the implications are for every country, so we can make a decision,” Lula said.
According to the Brazilian leader, Trump tries “Disassemble multilateralism,” and impose “Unilateralism, where he negotiates one-on-one with other countries,” And where the US has the advantage.
“What negotiation forces does a small Latin -American country have against the United States? None,” Lula said.
