Fifty lots listed to go under the hammer at the Oaklands Junction paddock sale can be used by recipients of the $5,000 HRV Vicbred vouchers towards the purchase of a yearling.
The Vicbred Voucher program includes 550 races over two seasons, held at Victorian country circuits and Melton.
In addition, APG and HRV are giving away an extra prize four vouchers worth $5,000 on sale day for registered buyerswhich can be exchanged for the purchase of a Vicbred Platinum yearling offered for sale.
The vouchers are a generous contribution to APG sales and to the HRV running community.
The drawing will take place in the Oaklands Junction auditorium prior to the start of the sale. To be eligible for the vouchers, you must be officially registered as a buyer and be present in the room at the time of the draw. All unclaimed vouchers will be reinstated and all vouchers are non-transferable.
Not only are HRV giving away these 4 x $5000 vouchers, but they have also generously donated a further 2 x $5000 vouchers to be sold as part of the charity auction held on sale day. All proceeds from this charity auction will go directly to Fight MND which works to raise awareness and fund vital research to find treatments and, one day, a cure for people with ALS. So buyers not only have the chance to support a fantastic cause, but also get a voucher to spend on a yearling.
Pacing yearlings purchased at the auction will be eligible for $100,000 races for two-year-olds of both sexes in 2027 and $50,000 races for three-year-olds of both sexes in 2028. With only 28 pacing mares and 35 pacing foals, this gives buyers the best odds in the country to win the $100,000 prize in their first year on the track with the APG racing series.
In addition, trotting yearlings are eligible for a $40,000 mixed-sex classic for two-year-olds in 2027 and a $30,000 mixed-sex race for three-year-olds in 2028.
