How to watch Mikaela Shiffrin race the slalom in Gurgl, Austria – Live schedule | FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup 2025/26

Mikaela Shiffrin heads to Gurgl, Austria for the second slalom stop of the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup season on Saturday (November 23).

Shiffrin is once again the one to beat as she looks to secure back-to-back slalom victories after her season-opening victory in Levi (Finland) last weekend (November 15).

Gurgl will as always be an exciting location, high in the mountains, with reliable snow in the early season and a rapidly steepening piste that promises dramatic moments of ski racing.

Shiffrin will be challenged by the emerging youth movement led by Albania Lara Colturi19, who is off to a strong start after finishing second in Levi. Germany Emma Aicher22, will be riding the momentum of her first World Cup podium after her third-place finish in Levi.

Switzerland Camille Rast, who finished third at Gurgl last season, will look to regain her place on the podium after a disappointing start to the season at Levi. The reigning slalom world champion posted on social media that she is dealing with hip tenderness, but is “building back the trust and commitment.”

Team USA brings extra depth with five more starters, including Paula Moltzanwho opened her season with an impressive second place in the Sölden giant slalom and finished sixth in Gurgl last year. She will be accompanied by Nina O’Brien, AJ pain, Liv Moritz And Annika Huntall looking to make their mark on the early season standings.
