How to skip the TSA security rules for free

At a few airports throughout the country there are free programs with which you can skip the security lines.

We all know clearly what $ 209 costs a year, but did you know that they have offered a free program called Reserve Powered by Clear?

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, for example, has the Sea Spot Saver program. This allows you to skip the line of security if you register in advance and it is completely free. You will only find your flight (airline, destination, flight number), choose a checkpoint and a time. When it’s time to go through security, go to the Checkpoint and look for the queue of the Zeest Spot Saver.

A few years ago the program was available at almost a dozen airports in the US, it has slipped a bit since then, because I could not find any details about the Newark Airport program or the Houston Airport program, but still available at a few other airports.

Important Note: No benefits for the Precheck

If you have TSA Precheck, the free planning for general screening is. In my research I discovered that you lose all the benefits of TSA Precheck when you go this route. So you have to take off your shoes, belts, jacket, laptops, liquids, etc.

There is no disadvantage to making a reservation and not appear. When you make a reservation, you will receive a QR code that you can scan to enter the faster queue. If you choose not to use it and enter the Clear or TSA check line, your reservation will be simply.

So you can reserve a place, go to the airport and then decide whether you want to use it.

Los Angeles International Airport (Lax)

• Can I keep TSA Preccheck -benefits? No, the screening process will be general screening.

The program at Lax is called Lax Fast Lane And is currently a pilot program. When you get the airport, search for the Lax Fast Lane marked lanes and speed through!

Denver International Airport (Den)

• How many days in advance can I plan? Fourteen days.
• At what times can I use this? 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Can I keep TSA Preccheck -benefits? No, the screening process will be general screening.

Denver offers The reserveThat is a free program that is managed by Clear.

Minneapolis – st. Paul International Airport (MSP)

• How many days in advance can I plan? Seven days.
• At what times can I use this? 3:45 am to 7:45 pm @ Terminal 1, 3:45 am to 8 am, 12-4pm @ Terminal 2
• Can I keep TSA Preccheck -benefits? No, the screening process will be general screening.

MSP travelers can use Msp reserveThat is a free program that is managed by Clear. When you go on the MSP reserve page, you must switch the drop -down list under the image -there is MCO reserve. From there you have access to the link to set your reservation.

Orlando International Airport (MCO)

• At what times can I use this? 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Orlando offers MCO -ReserveThat is a free program that is managed by Clear.

John F. Kennedy International Airport Terminal 4 (JFK)

• How many days in advance can I plan? Three days.
• At what times can I use this? 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
• Can I keep TSA Preccheck -benefits? No, the screening process will be general screening.

Passengers can use on Terminal 4 of JFK JFK T4 Reserve. It is a free program that is managed by Clear.

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX)

• How many days in advance can I plan? Six days.
• At what times can I use this? Always @ Terminal 3, 3:15 AM-19:30 on Terminal 4
• Can I keep TSA Preccheck -benefits? No, the screening process will be general screening.

PHX offers PHX ReserveA free reservation program managed by Clear>

Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)

If you are investigating the reserve that is powered by Clear Program, you will see many other sources with a Newark list. When I asked Clear’s chatbot/digital ambassador, the Newark did not mention on the list of airports of participants. If you try to search for a page on the Newark website, you cannot find it. I suspect it has disappeared from Newark.

As we said at the top, Seattle offers the Saver of the sea areas Program, with which travelers can reserve a free timed entry lock at general security control points. Available daily from early morning to evening.
