Testimonials are an essential form of social evidence for companies. Even without trying, companies receive reviews on their Google Business Profile, Facebook page and folders such as Yelp. No matter how nice it is to have witnesses and reviews spread over the internet, it is also very nice to be able to display them on your website. A carousel is the perfect way to do that.
Divi 5 introduced the Group Carousel module. It is one of our most flexible modules and is perfect for creating a witness scarrus. Below we will guide you through every step that is needed to use this module. Not only that, but I will give you an overview of the different ways you can store your testimonies on your WordPress site.
How to build a witness scarrousel in Divi 5
It all starts with Divi 5 and its new group of carousel module.

1. Use the carousel module group
One of the newest modules from Divi is the Group Carousel module. It is one of our most flexible and adaptable modules ever and is ideal for displaying testimonials.
When you add this to your page, this also adds an underlying group module. Every “slide” or “map” of your carousel is built within the group. At the moment we will only concentrate on making the first slide/card/group and ensuring that it is designed and set to your needs.

Look at this point at the carousel settings for how many carousel groups you want to display at the same time. This influences how you want to design each group. Also change the number of groups shown at every breaking point. For this example, three groups are displayed on desktop, two on tablet and one on mobile. Note how easy this had to do with the new responsive editing options from Divi.

2. Rule of witness items in the carousel group
Because the Group Carousel -module uses a group module, you can add any other DIVI module to the group. You are not limited to pre -configured fields/elements to display in your carousel. You can choose exactly what you want in it. Set a contrasting background color so that you can clearly see every slide. Then I add the supporting modules and some temporary content.

You also have full lay settlement with the help of Divi’s Flexbox container layout settings. Adjust these settings at group level to determine how all your modules are classified in the group.
3. Duplicate the group item or set a loop
When you make your first fully designed group, you can easily make others to fill the carousel. The video above shows the duplicate of each group to fill in the carousel. This is good if you manually enter your testimony data.

But there is a more scalable way if you are willing to create an adapted postal type for your testimonies. This has a few advantages:
- Use testimonials about your site in different querylussen
- Make/save/edit all testimonies in one place
- Save time about the manual introduction of witness reports in Divi if you have to show many testimonials (it is faster than CPT or even an option page with a repeater field).
If you have already set up a witness CPT, Divi’s Loop Builder is a natural fit. Instead of duplicating your first group, you can engage a loop on that group.
Once the loop is made, we can connect each piece of temporary text with dynamic data in that loop. Again, this assumes that you have a postt type made for this; More about that later.
4. Carrousel settings
With the carousel glasses/cards that are now filled in with content (either of a manual entry or via the runner), we can put the finishing touches on the carousel.
You can switch on auto-rotation, adjust the speed and the speed of the transition effect. There is even a middle mode for the prominent display of the centered slide.

Divi’s Group Carousel module comes with some navigation options. You can switch on arrows on the sides so that the user can move them manually. A point navigation is also at the bottom (standard) to do the same. Both can be adjusted in the design settings.
And without much work we have a fully operational carousel for our testimonies.

Testimonial content architecture
There are different ways to tackle it in the risk that it can be pronounced too much how to construct a witness card. The path that you could choose depends on whether you intend to update these testimonies and how much work you want to do in advance.
Walk through testimonies in a CPT
Custom message types offer a way to make buckets of different types of content. They are perfect to fully use your DIVI website.
You can create a CPT with PHP, a CPT -plug -in (such as ACF, ACPT or Pods), or a special plug -in which connects via API to assessment services to draw information directly to your website. Making a CPT with a plug-in is the lowest and simplest installation method.

When you create a Testimonial post type, you want to add a field group to the CPT. This field group will contain things such as the name and/or company of the reviewer, star reviews and perhaps a URL for users to gain access to the original location of the assessment. This is up to you, but it is all very usable in Divi’s Loop Builder.
When you have created your content architecture for the CPT, enter a few messages to data (or Dummy data if you do not yet have it). Then jump back in Divi, make the loop on the Child Group of the Group Carousel module (as we showed you in the steps above).

If you now add a new message to that CPT, your witness scarrusel will be updated. This is a great way to keep your displayed testimonials up -Thate!

Try the group carousel module in Divi 5 today
We know that the progress of Divi delayed there for a while. But that was because we built the new infrastructure for Divi 5. Now that it is present, we have been able to create a lot in a very short period of time.
We are happy that the group of carousel module has fallen (and at the same time the Lottie module and the iconnic module!) And know that you can do much more with it. Once you have gotten used to it, you will wonder how you are without it.
This is not the only thing that was recently launched in Divi 5. To get the whole experience, you just have to try it yourself. DIVI 5 is available for new website -Builds, and we also have one demosite Available for you to try (without setup work).
