The Cincinnati Open Final between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz will have enormous consequences for the battle for the number 1 PIF ATP ranking list on the way to the US Open.
If Alcaraz Sinner beats on Monday in the fourth Lexus ATP Head2head collision of the couple’s season, the Spaniard will lead the PIF ATP Live rankings as soon as the last major of the season starts.

It all goes back to the US Open from last year, where Sinner lifted the trophy and Alcaraz a shocking loss of the second round suffering from Botic van de Zandschulp in New York. The Italian earned 1,950 points more than his big rival in New York.
That is why the gap is not that big in it. When Alcaraz triumphes in Cincinnati for the first time, he would go inside 1,900 points from the sinner. Once you have removed their 2024 US Open -Points in the Live Rankings, Alcaraz would advance with 50 points.
Sinner can help his business by successfully defending the Cincinnati title on Monday. With a victory by the new 24-year-old there would be a 700-point swing in his direction and he would lead the live rankings with 650 points with the Flushing Meadows points from last year.
Anyway, World No. 1 will be in New York for picking up. Even if Sinner wins Monday, the only way he leaves his departure from the US open with World No. 1 could guarantee by earning his third SLAM trophy of the season.
