Caitlin Clark is the center of the Indiana fever, which is clear. Yet the Rookie of the year 2024 has been more on the couch than she has been on the field this season, because she was struggling with injuries. First it was a quadriceps -stem, then came the first groin tribe and the second followed shortly thereafter. This newest Stint has seen Clark since before the Wnba All-Star break and the fever do not have a timeline for her return.
Before the season, many people had arranged the Indiana fever to compete with the top teams in the WNBA and to end the season in the top three. Clark’s absence has somewhat derailed those plans, but the fever has found a rhythm in Clark’s latest break from the court. At the moment the Indiana fever is in 6th place, with a record of 16-12, which is slowly separating from the .500 level that they have been at or under the last different seasons. Clark only played in 13 of those 28 games and misses more than she has played at the moment.
So how have the fever managed to float without their star? There are a few components-the first is that Indiana has made full use of the market for free agency in the middle season. As soon as Clark was outside the first time, the fever and signed Aari McDonald, who had been abandoned by the La Sparks. While Jacob describes details in the linked message, McDonald was one of the best options that the fever could have taken in her position in the middle season. The fever has also recently signed Chloe Bibby for a contract for the Rust season, another great pick-up for them.
Aliyah Boston is a maximum of 14 points in the 4Q alone
She is on 19 points and 10 reborns in general.

Indiana also really leaned in the game of Aliyah Boston, their number 1 concept choice from 2023. Boston is on average a career-high 15.5 points per match in 2025, an increase of 1.5 points per match from 2024. She tried to try 11.3 field goals per match and she is up to 54.4% of the field. Prioritizing Boston Going is a great strategy to keep strong until Clark returns, because Clark is so good at finding Boston in the post. There is not much to be adjusted as soon as Clark is back, because they can allow them to facilitate an already hot Boston while she gets her own game back to where it is usually.
Indiana managed to temporarily place McDonald in the waiting position, while Clark heals, while she also got her pick-and-roll partner in Boston as personal best songs. An equipped Clark and a fired Boston is not a combo teams who want to see in the play-offs. Even if Indiana is unable to climb in the top 4 and to gain Homecourt benefit, they will still have a considerable advantage with Clark that is on time to return on time for the late season. If her rest helps more than the rust hurts, the fever can be a dangerous dark horse.
