The Honda Super-One Prototype has yet to enter production, but Mugen has already gotten its hands on the electric hatchback to make it look sportier. The end result was showcased at this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon as a taste of what is possible.
For starters, the Super-One gets a two-tone, beige and black paint job and five-spoke wheels, the latter of which comes with a lower ride height. Equally striking are the body accessories, including a large front lip, ventilated fenders, side skirts and a new rear bumper with integrated diffuser.
You’ll also find carbon fiber parts such as the side mirrors and the large rear wing, with the Mugen lettering in Japanese applied to the front, side and rear of the car. The Mugen colors can also be found on a piece of trim in front of the new hood that appears to have air vents.
As for the interior, Mugen replaced the standard steering wheel with a new one, covered in perforated leather, a carbon fiber bottom edge and a 12 o’clock marker. The company also installed its own brand sill plates and floor mats, accompanied by Recaro seats.
Unlike the Prelude Spec III that the company also showed off at TAS, no pricing is available for Mugen’s version of the Super-One, although it is expected to become available when the Super-One reaches final production.
