Exactly one year to the day since his last ATP Masters 1000 competition profit, the Chinese Wild Card Shang Juncheng won a victory on the level on the Rolex Shanghai Masters on Thursday, where he collapses along Aleksandar Kovacevic 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.

The 20-year-old Lefty was sidelined from January to August with a foot injury, but returned to the tour in Toronto in July. After reaching the second round in Chengdu last month, Shang conquered his biggest victory since his return to home floor during the Masters 1000 event, where he hit 32 winners to eliminate Kovacevic in one hour and 57 minutes.

“This year has been the most difficult in my life so far, but it’s not enough to hit me,” Shang said. “But playing at home feels great, with a full crowd and everyone who welcomes as hard as possible for me, what gives me a lot of energy. #NEXTGENATP SHANG, who reached the semi-final in Hong Kong at the start of the season, became the first Chinese player who won an ATP tour title last year on a home floor in Chengdu. The World No. 237 wants to find its best level in Shanghai in Shanghai for fourteen days.

Comesana eliminated Ugo Blanchet 6-4, 6-2 and Ugo Carabelli reached the second round when Cincinnati semi-finalist Terence Atmane was forced to retire on 4-4 in the first set.
