Madi Ratcliffe and Liné Malan each scored twice in an impressive attacking performance, with Perth’s defensive organization and quick counter-attack proving decisive. Melbourne’s Aisling Utri found the net twice for the hosts, but the Thundersticks’ consistency and belief got them over the line. The win capped off an incredible tournament for Perth as they proved the doubters wrong and delivered one of the all-time underdog stories in the Hockey One competition.

HC Melbourne defeats. Tassie Tigers 3–1

HC Melbourne capped off a fantastic season with a composed 3-1 victory over the Tassie Tigers to secure the men’s championship. Ky Willott struck twice and Nathan Ephraums added another excellent individual performance as Melbourne controlled key moments with precision and poise.

Tassie’s Sam McCulloch pulled one back for the Tigers but the home side’s defensive resilience and composure ensured there would be no comeback. The result was a fitting end to the campaign in Melbourne: a balanced, high-quality team performance that delivered the ultimate reward on home ground to claim back-to-back titles.
