Chennai:
Tamil Nadu has secured a ‘historical judgment’ of the Supreme Court, said head minister MK Stalin on Tuesday, after the court of Governor Rn Ravi’s contemplation for 10 legislative proposals had decided – including two adopted by the previous administration, when the Aiadmk was in power – is ‘illegal’ and ‘arbitrary’.
In short comments to the state meeting this afternoon, the Chief Minister said: “The Supreme Court granted an approval with all the legislative proposals that we have accepted and (to which the governor agreed.”
“This is a big win, not only for Tamil Nadu, but all Indian states …” said the DMK leader, referring to similar disputes between non-BJP states and their governors who are appointed by the center.
The ruling party also demanded that Mr. Ravi – with whom the DMK has had different run -ins – resign from “respect (for the) office of the governor”, which underlines the hostilities between the two parties.
Hours earlier a Bank of Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice R Mahadevan ordered the hanging accounts “released from the date on which it was again presented to the Governor, who did not act in” Good Trouw “.

In recent years, the DMK Governor Ravi – who, like all governors, has been appointed by the BJP central government by the BJP – has deliberately postponed his accounts and deliberately postponing the development projects of the Southern State by “undermining the chosen administration”.
The ruling party has also claimed that the actions of the governor amount to “the undermining of (of) the will of the people” by deliberately postponing the bills that are sent for approval.
The fight between the state and the governor often made the headlines and, just as often, came in front of the top. In January, an increasingly frustrated Supreme Court made strong observations, which both parties told to resolve differences whether it would be forced to act.

Already in November 2023, the court – those similar supplications of other non -BJP states, such as Kerala and Punjab – had asked difficult questions from Mr. Ravi. “These accounts have been in treatment since 2020 … What did he (Mr. Ravi) have been doing for three years?” the court asked.
This boost for the DMK comes as tensions between the state and the center of the disaster of at least three controversial issues -delimitation, the ‘Hindi imposition’ -row and the rejection of a bill that proposes Tamil Neetu’s exemption from the Neet, or national access test for medical courses.
It also comes when the DMK (and its allies, including the congress), the AIADMK and the BJP Prep for next year’s election.
