Hero MotoCorp has rolled out a new top variant of the Xtreme 125R in India. Priced at Rs 1.04 lakh (ex-showroom), the new trim will be the first motorcycle in its segment to feature both dual-channel ABS and cruise control. The latter feature was previously seen on the Glamor X, thanks to Hero’s ride-by-wire throttle system.Visually, the motorcycle remains unchanged, but Hero has introduced three new two-tone color schemes: red, silver and green, each complemented by contrasting black stripes.

The addition of a ride-by-wire throttle not only enables cruise control, but also gives riders the ability to switch between Eco, Road and Power riding modes. Another major upgrade is the addition of a 4.2-inch color LCD instrument cluster. On the performance front, braking has been improved with disc brakes at both ends, combined with a dual-channel ABS system for added safety. The suspension still includes a telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock.

Under the hood, the The bike sprints from 0 to 60 km/h in 5.7 seconds.

The Hero Xtreme 125R continues to rival the TVS Raider, Honda CB125 Hornet and other 125cc premium commuters.
