EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Herecomesdajudge scored his second straight victory in the second leg of the Exit 16W Pop Up Series at The Meadowlands on Thursday evening, winning the $20,600 for 4-year-olds and under on the trot in 1:53.

The three-year-old colt by Muscle Hill-Designed To Be used his early speed to perfection, drawing alongside Swedish interloper Bourbonista S, making her first US start, in the quarter, which went :27.4, before ‘Dajudge’ took over.

The Tyler Miller-powered, Julie Miller-trained Herecomesda judge then reached half while pressing in :56.1 and three-quarters in 1:24.3, but would not have an easy time down the stretch.

Bourbonista S, the second choice at 4-1 who made a perfect pocket trip, came to call after leaving the rail with a sixteenth of a mile to go, but fell a small head short. D’wood finished third.

HERCOMESDA RIGHT REPLAY

“He got a little stuck in the first turn,” Tyler said. “But once he got to the front he was good. He had a good week and rode well last week.”

“I’m very happy with ‘Dajudge,’” said Tyler’s mother, Julie. “Tyler had to use him to get the lead and then had to fight James [Kennedy, driving Top Gun Hanover] subtract by half [and putting on pressure]. Then he dug in late for the win and made the ownership group proud.”

As a 3-5 favorite, Herecomesdajudge returned $3.40 to his backers. He has now won seven of 28 lifetime outings for a profit of $152,202 for owners Andy Miller Stable, TLP Stable and Mr. CD Huffman.

Dismas ($5.60 to win as 9-5 second choice) made it two for two in the Exit 16W for 2- and 3-year-old stallions and geldings, which brought $17,500. The Joe Bongiorno-ridden, Per Engblom-trained 3-year-old gelding son of Lazarus N-Itz Cherry Ripe N stopped the clock in 1:52.1.

Crunchalous ($16.80 to win as 7-1 fourth choice) recorded his first lifetime win in the $17,500 Exit 16W for 2- and 3-year-old paced fillies. Driven by Tyler Miller and trained by Juan Cano, the 2-year-old from Captain Crunch-Scandalous Ideal covered the mile in 1:55.
