- Google is working on a material 3 Expressive redesign for the Gboard app settings.
- The redesign is equipped with a user interface in map style and a rearrangement menu with new descriptions.
Gboard is one of those apps that I can’t live without, so much that I even install it on my iPhones (which sounds blasphemy, but it works great). On Android telephones, Google is working on taking a material 3 Expressive redesign for Gboard settings, so that you can enjoy a consistent and renewed experience when you have to set the keyboard.
⚠️ A MOT Teardown Helps in predicting functions that can achieve a service in the future based on the operating code. However, it is possible that such predicted functions may not come to a public release.
Gboard V15.7.3 beta contains code for a material 3 Expressive renewal for the app settings. We have succeeded in activating the upcoming redesign to give you an early look:
Just as we have seen with various other Google apps, the GBOard Settings menu is cordially taken over the onion of the map style.
We could only enable the new expressive redesign on Android Canary and Android 16 QPR1 BETA 3. By having the redesign crashed externally on Android 15 -builds, Gboard must crash, so you might have to be on the latest release of Android 16 to enjoy the redesign when it rolls out.
Readers with eagle eyes will also notice that different institutions have been rearranged and their descriptions have changed. We had to activate this change externally, so pointed to rolling out in the future.
