Hamas said on Monday that it has accepted a new proposal from Arabic mediators for a cessation -fires in the Gaza Strip that would still need the approval of Israel, because the Gaza minister of public health said that the Palestinian death toll of 22 months of fighting was passed 62,000.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump seemed to be doubting about the long -term negotiations. “We will only see the return of the remaining hostages when Hamas is confronted and destroyed !!! The sooner this takes place, the better the chances of success will be,” he posted on his social site.
Israel announced plans to re -occupy Gaza City and other heavy populated areas after the ceasefire -the conversations seemed to have been demolished last month, which increased the possibility of a deterioration of the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, of which experts say it is sliding into Hunger’s need.
Plans to expand the offensive, which are partly focused on putting Hamas under pressure, have fueled international indignation and many Israelis who fear the remaining hostages taken in the attack of 7 October that the war started. Hundreds of thousands took part in mass protests on Sunday and called on their return.

‘Extensive efforts’ to breathe new life into conversations
The Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said that mediators “make extensive efforts” to breathe new life into an American proposal for a cease-fire of 60 days, in which some hostages would be released and the parties would negotiate a permanent ceasefire and the return of the rest.
During a visit to the Rafah intersection of Egypt, he spoke with Gaza, which did not function since Israel seized the Palestinian side in May 2024. He was accompanied by Mohammad Mustafa, the Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority, who has largely been sidelined since the war began.
Abdelatty said that the Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman had already joined the conversations, including Senior Hamas leader Khalil Al-Hayya, who arrived in Cairo last week. He said they are open to other ideas, also for an extensive deal that would release all hostages at the same time.
Bassem Naim, a senior civil servant of Hamas, later told the Associated Press that the militant group had accepted the proposal introduced by the brokers without working out.

An Egyptian officer, who speaks, on condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive conversations, said that the proposal includes changes in the withdrawal of Israel about his armed forces and guarantees for negotiations about a permanent stopping -fires during the first late late. The officer said it is almost identical to an earlier proposal accepted by Israel, which has not yet been connected to the latest conversations.

Palestinian Dodentol surpasses 62,000

The Gaza Health Ministry said that the Palestinian death toll of the war had risen to 62.004, with another 156,230 people injured. It does not say how many citizens or fighters were, but says that women and children make up about half of the dead.
The ministry is part of the government run by Hamas and staffed by medical professionals. The UN and many independent experts regard their figures as the most reliable estimate of the victims of wartime. Israel disputes his toll but did not deliver his.
The ministry said that 1,965 people were killed during the search for humanitarian aid since May, either in the chaos around UN-Konvoyen or while they are on their way to locations operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, an American contractor supported by Israel.

Witnesses, health officials and the UN people rights agency say that Israeli troops have repeatedly fired to crowds of people seeking help. Israel says that it only fired warning shots on people who have approached his powers. GHF says that his armed contractors have only used pepper spray or were fired in the air in the air to prevent deadly crowds.
More deaths linked to malnutrition
Experts have warned that the current offensive of Israël Gaza is pushing to the famine, even after it had taken a complete blockade of 2 1/2 months on the territory in May. The Gaza Health Ministry said on Monday that five more people, including two children, died of malnutrition-related causes.
It says that at least 112 children died of malnutrition-related causes since the war started, and 151 adults died since the ministry started following the deaths due to adult malnutrition in June.
Amnesty International accused Israel on Monday of “Performing a deliberate Hunger campaign.”
Israel has rejected such allegations and says that it allows sufficient food and the UN does not accuse it immediately. UN agencies say they are hindered by Israeli limitations and the demolition of law and order in the territory, of which about three-quarters are now controlled by Israel.
Israeli legislator denied visa to Australia
In a separate development, extreme right-wing Israeli legislator Simcha Rothman Australia of anti-Semitism after he denied him a visa for a striking tour. Rothman is a member of the religious Zionist party, who supports the continuation of the war, the mass placement of Palestinians by what it describes as voluntary migration and the restoration of Jewish settlements in Gaza.
“The decision of the Australian government to deny me the chance to come and talk to my people, because of the expressing of simple and clear positions, is clear and clearly anti -Semitism that gives a boost to terrorism,” said Australian Broadcasting Corp. That Rothman said Monday.
Interior Minister Tony Burke defended the move and said, “If you come to Australia to spread a message of hatred and division, we don’t want you here.”
In response, Israel withdrew the Visa of Australian representatives in the Palestinian authority and told the Israeli embassy in Australia to “carefully investigate official visa applications from Australia,” wrote Foreign Affairs Minister Gideon Saar on X.
Australia joined 27 other Western countries in a joint statement last month in which the war was called to an end and joined a smaller circle of countries in the punishment of two extreme right -wing Israeli ministers of the government accused of causing violence against Palestinians in the Western Jordan of the Israeli.
