Haas has brought a major upgrade to the United States Grand Prix as one of only two teams to introduce new parts.
The sprint format of the race weekend at COTA has limited the number of developments teams have brought to Austin in the past, but that is highlighted this year by the focus of most of the grid on the 2026 regulations.
That means that, apart from Haas, only Mercedes has submitted a new part, with an update to the rear corner where the “camber of the upper lip has been reduced to improve local flow quality around the upper control arms, and the wing span has been reduced to increase tire clearance.”
For Haas, however, a substantial update has been developed for the home Grand Prix as the team looks to remain in contention for sixth place in the Constructors’ Championship.
Central to the upgrade is a new floor, with the floor body, floor fences and floor edge all redesigned. The team says this builds on the upgrade introduced at Silverstone by refining the floor rails and outboard edge to increase aerodynamic load, with an emphasis on high-speed cornering performance.
A refined rear corner wing has also been brought to Austin to work parallel to the new floor, while Haas has also modified the mirror bracket on the sidepod to improve flow alignment.
Haas has just one practice session on Friday to validate the upgrade ahead of sprint qualifying on Friday afternoon at Circuit of the Americas.
