GT vs Mi IPL 2025 Eliminator: Rohit Sharma has just reached an incredible milestone and became the first Indian player who has beaten 300 Sixes in IPL history, in the footsteps of Chris Gayle.

Rohit Sharma wrote history by becoming the first Indian player who beat 300 sixes in the IPL. He reached this incredible milestone during the Eliminator match of the current IPL 2025, where the Mumbai Indians (MI) stood on the Gujarat Titans (GT) on the PCA on Thursday 30 May.

With this achievement, Rohit also became the second cricket player ever to achieve this performance, according to the legendary West India -opener Chris Gayle, who owns the record with 357 Sixes. Rohit hit his 300 Sixes in 261 innings over 267 games.

Moreover, Rohit Sharma is now the second batter to cross the 7000-run mark in IPL history, with Virat Kohli, who is at the top of the list with 8618 runs in 258 innings over 266 games. Before this match, Rohit had scored 6953 points in 265 innings, with an average of 29.60 and a success rate of 131.83. He also has 46 fifties and two centuries to his name in the IPL.

In this competition, Rohit was dropped twice in the first three overs. He was released on 3 points by Gerald Coetzee, who was unable to catch a high ball with deep fine leg from Prasidh Krishna’s bowling after Rohit had played a pull -shot wrong.

Later he was put down again on 12 points by Wicket keeper Kusal Mendis, who made his IPL debut. The Sri Lankan keeper responded slowly to an outdoor edge and missed a simple catch.
