RAnkings are subjective and will certainly make criticism.

Rarely does a Sportswriter get it to take it and separate it in a single meeting, but that is exactly what we do here.

Each of us offers a ranking of the best CFB locations in the West, and the other asks questions. Then our roles are reversed.

We call it serious pleasure.

Read along while we are debating about our respective rankings of the Top College Football Stages in the West And have some fun on the way.

Nick’s ask for Stephen
Unlv playing football at Allegiant Stadium
Allegiant Stadium UNLV Football | Unlv Athletics

Nick: How do you have an NFL stadium of almost $ 2 billion as the last on your list? Or is that exactly why?

Stephen: That certainly has a lot to do with it.

Unlov -logoIt is the house of the Raiders and it is an inner stadium. An NFL stage of $ 2 billion is a great place to hold a conference championship game or to organize the Natty.

But for the permanent house of the rebels it is just a sterile interior building without any juice.

Nick: I am surprised to see the Rose Bowl at the No. 5 place. Why do you put it in your top five?

Stephen: It is an iconic and historic stadium!

And yes, I know, this sounds like I’m talking to my alleged stadium argument, but the Rose Bowl is special.

UCLA Bruins logoGrowing up in the midwest when Big ten Guy has some respect as one of the Cathedrals of Sport – Think Fenway Park, Churchill Downs. . .

The Rose Bowl is in the same category. Moreover, the sunset with the San Gabriel -Bergen on the Rose Bowl is something of beauty.

Air Force Academy Falcon Stadium
Falcon Stadium Air Force Academy Athletics

Nick: What is your most underrated stadium on your list? I like that your Air Force had a place at the No. 8.

Stephen: You know, Falcon Stadium is eloquently majestic! The mountains in sight, the layered bowl, I just really dig it.

Air Force Falcons logoSo yes, maybe that is my most underestimated, but I also think that Reser Stadium could also take that place. It gets loud and has a great look aesthetic.

Nick: Why do you have the state of Arizona at number 24?

Stephen: You know, it just doesn’t work for me. I am not a fan of it and have never been real.

Nick: Most people agree with you in California Memorial Stadium, but it just doesn’t work for me.

Is it almost garnished in your top 5?

California Memorial Stage

Stephen: I love the foothills who see it by heart. I love the fact that fans can sit there and watch the game.

There is just something cool about it.

And yes, I definitely threw around in the top 5.

Nick: Is there anything else you would like to add?

I will admit that the stadium I may have overestimated is Hawaii.

Hawaii logoTC Ching Athletics complex is not great (and only temporarily until New Aloha will open in 2028) but it is in Hawaii and that is difficult to keep it out of the top 15.

Stephen’s stadium ranking

1. Washington (Husky Stadium, Seattle)
2. Oregon (Autos Stadium, Eugene)
3. Byu (Lavell Edwards Stadium, Provo)
4. Colorado (Folsom Field, Boulder)

6. Cal (California Memorial Stadium, Berkeley)
7. Utah (Rice Eccles, Salt Lake City)
8. Air Force (Falcon Stadium, Colorado Springs)
9. Oregon State (Reser Stadium, Corvallis)
10. Boise State (Albertson’s Stadium, Boise)
11. Washington State (Martin Stadium, Pullman)

Stephen’s ask for Nick
Martin Stadium of Washington State
Martin Stadium of Washington State | Wsu -atletiek

Stephen: My biggest surprise of your list is having WSU at number 21. You knew I expected that higher.

What is your biggest problem with Martin Stadium?

Nick: Martin Stadium is as a worse version of Reser Stadium.

Washington State LogoIt would be a lot higher on my list if Washington State had a better presence for their games.

For most stadiums on this list I tried to judge them strictly, but the believers of the cougars were not in meaningful competitions last season.

I think in particular of the San Jose State Game.

I will always love my cougs, but we can do it better, and we will do that.

Stephen: We agree on our top 3 and I am quite sure that we cannot get too much argument from people about those three.

For you, what does Husky Stadium give the edge over the rest of the field?

Nick: Washington is just the perfect mix of everything that is football. A passionate fan base, a beautiful view and decent enough again.

Washington FootballogoAnd there is clear sailing.

I don’t feel that Lavell Edwards Stadium is at the level of Autzen or Husky Stadium, but it’s close.

I am more of a tree, but the field of yours has an intimidation factor. Husky Stadium is a historic location for a reason.

San Diego State Snapdragon Stadium

Stephen: Apart from Unlv, our biggest difference is the state of San Diego. You have the beautiful shiny new Snapdragon stage at number 4.

What do you like so much about it?

Nick: I love the red and gray seats of the stadium. I am also a fan of the combination of red, black and gray colors.

San Diego State Aztecs logoThe entire location looks good, from the design of the Aztec -Eindzone to the green and brown background.

The weather is also perfect all year round. I feel that the city of San Diego is a bit overestimated, but this stadium is legitimate.

Stephen: I will also ask you about which stadium you think is the most underestimated? I also really like your choice of CSU at seven o’clock (I am a fool for Mountain View).

Nick: I’m going to give you a few functions that I think it is underestimated in a few different locations.

One of my favorites is the song around Nevada’s field. I love the way it looks.

I am also a big fan of the end zone art of Wyoming.

And the state of Colorado has a new stadium and one of the most underrated fan bases in the country. They appear for a team that has been historically average.
