A year after announcing she would end her professional golf career, 11-time LPGA Tour winner Lexi Thompson is in the thick of the action playing 18 holes in a professional event.
This week, Thompson teamed up with PGA Tour professional Wyndham Clark at the Grant Thornton Invitational. Through two rounds, the two big winners are just two shots off the lead held by Lauren Coughlin and Andrew Novak.
Charley Hull and Michael Brennan are second at 18 under.
The format for Sunday’s final will be a modified four-ball, with both players teeing off, switching balls for their second shot and then playing the same ball until it is holed out.
