The Graham Spicer under-15’s 2026 1* was held on Sunday 22 February. Players came from Yorkshire, Herefordshire, Kent, Middlesex and Surrey.
Tape 1
Top seed Thomas Otterbu (Surrey) won Band 1 without dropping a set and even defeated long-pimped player Gabriel James Church (Kent) in a great match. Gabriel came second and Neev Bakshi (Herefordshire) came third.
Tape 2
Band 2 went the route of placement with Aditya Johri Sethi (Middlesex) first, Qifan Li (Surrey) second and Priyansh Solanki (Surrey) third. It was closer than you might think as both Aditya and Qifan won four and lost one. However, Aditya won the head-to-head match.
Tape 3
Band 3 did not follow the seeding path as the top seed lost all its matches. Three players won four games and lost one. Afterwards, Oscar Liu (Surrey) came first, Harris Hayden (Surrey) second and Jaeha Kim (Surrey) third.
Tape 4
Second seed Iurii Kurin (Surrey), a penhold player, won all his matches to win Band 4. Top seed Sam Hunter-Brook (Surrey) was second and third seed Liam Fong (Surrey) was third.
Tape 5
Joshua Koo (Surrey) came first, Deniz Kentsu (Surrey) second and Emillio Haddad (Surrey) third.
Tape 6
Top seed James Siese (Surrey) won Band 6, with Jacob Tavener (Surrey) second and Henry Crabb (Surrey) third.
The tournament was officiated by tournament organizer Jin Su Choi and refereed by Chris Andrews with assistance from Jane Barella and club president Patrick Caunt.
