GOVT approves the first BSF -Cadre assessment in 60 years; 23.710 Promotions deleted

On Wednesday, the government approved the very first Cadre assessment of the Border Security Force (BSF) in 60 years of its existence that its manpower ranges between agent and inspector with around 4,000 employees.

A BSF spokesperson said that the decision with regard to the employees of group B and group C will result in “immediate” promotions to a total of 23,710 employees.

The approximately 2.65 Lakh-strong BSF, lifted in 1965, is mainly taxed to monitor Indian boundaries with Pakistan in the west and Bangladesh in the east, apart from the display of a variety of tasks in the internal safety domain of the country.

“The Indian government has approved the very first Cadre evaluation of BSF Group B and C employees, which extends from Constable to Inspector and its implementation has already begun,” said the spokesperson.

The order was issued by the Ministry of the Interior (MHA) after approval from the Ministry of Finance, and officials said that the restructuring of the CADRE of the two staff of staff has led to a net profit of 3,994 posts in the Jawan and subordinate officers rank.

Moral boost

The spokesperson said that this will be an “important” moral boost step from the government post operation Sindoor for “career development” within the “Cuting Edge” ranking.

“The assessment is expected to improve the promotion rights from Constable to Inspector who will offer them a significant respite against existing stagnation, improving the overall moral and professional development of power staff,” he said.

Career

He also said that the decision will lead to a total promotions of 23,710 employees from which orders for 8,116 staff in various ranks were issued by the Force headquarters on Wednesday.

BSF recruits his staff from the entry level of agents who are promoted to the next rank of chief commissioner to the higher posts of assistant sub-inspector, sub-inspector or Subedar Major in the B and C group posts.

Officer -Sring

The officers of the armed forces are recruited in the group A service, apart from the Indian Police Service (IPS) that join the force with deputation.
