The left-handed from Raleigh beat the second-year student Jangjun Kim van Korea with 6-4, 1-6, 6-1 in the last qualifying round and will be confronted in the first round another Cavalier-Tweede year student: Rafael Jodar van Spain. The 19-year-old Jodar, who won his first Challenger title last month, is registered in Virginia this fall this fall, but will play a lot of the USTA Pro Circuit Hard Court-Changes in the coming months instead of collegial events. The ITA -smokie of the year 2025 is currently 369 in the ATP ranking.

Today she defeated No. 7 Seed and WTA 58 Alycia Parks 6-2, 6-4. Vidmanova plays colleague Czech Nikola Bartunkova, a 19-year-old wildcard who reached the final of Wimbledon Girls in 2023.
IVA Jovic is also on to the second round in Guadalajara and reports Katarzyna Kawa van Polen 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 tonight.
The post-vs open ITF Junior Rankings were released today, with two Bulgarians at the top of the boy’s list. Ivan Ivanov, the US Open Boys Champion, was already number 1 after his Wimbledon title, so he has now built up a considerable lead in ranking. US Open Boys finalist Alexander Vasilev has moved to No. 2, after starting the tournament at number 7.
Zangar Nurlanuly from Kazakhstan is a career-high of 25 after his semi-final, and Andrew Johnson goes from 109 to 60 after his run to the quarterfinals.
Julieta Pareja retains her number 1 ranking in the ITF juniors, but she is less than 50 points ahead of Hannah Klugman, who is a career high of 2 in the ITF rankings after her appearance in the semi-final. Champion Jeline Vandromme is a career-high 3 and runs less than 200 points behind Pareja.
Surprise finalist Lea Nilsson moved 58 places, to No. 26, which came all the way because of the qualification to become the first Swedish girl in the final of the US Open Singles.
Welles Newman, the 15-year-old Wildcard, made a nice leap to no. 71 after reaching the third round.
