The subsidiary Godrej Finance of Godrej Capital, has entered into a co-lending partnership with Muthoot Fincorp to improve credit access for MSMEs in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, building on the strong presence of Muthoot Fincorp and deep market range in these regions, said a statement.
Co-Loanseparterschap offers a loan against real estate, ranging from £ 10-75 Lakh, with an average card size of £ 15 Lakh.
According to the conditions of the agreement, Godrej Capital will take 80 percent of the risk, with Muthoot Fincorp covering the remaining 20 percent. Muthoot Fincorp will supervise the insurance technical, collections and the customer journey, while the company will guarantee compliance with the regulations through a jointly defined policy framework.
With activities that include Pan-India, this offer is well positioned to tap the markets with a strong demand for accessible and timely credit, the financial service provider said, adding that the partnership will soon be expanded with other products such as golden loans and home credits.
Godrej Capital is the Financial Services Arm of Godrej Industries Group.
The partnership will ensure faster approvals, more transparency and compliance with RBI’s co-loan framework, said it.
