UFC veteran Gilbert Burns has given his opinion about the upcoming fight between Dricus du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev.
As we know, Khamzat Chimaev is only one victory removed from achieving his goal of becoming UFC champion. To do that, however, he must first get through UFC Middleweight Champion Drus Du Plessis. Given what we have seen from DDP during his UFC run so far, it is fair to say that this is a pretty difficult fight for Khamzat.

Of course ‘Borz’ will be this as confident income as always, especially after his dominant victory over Robert Whittaker. At this point it is a matter of seeing if he can use his usual pressure to overwhelm Du Plessis and walk away with the title wrapped his waist.
Gilbert Burns, who gave Chimaev a few years ago many problems in their fight, recently had the following about this competition.

“I really believe he might bring Dricus down, could control him a little,” Burns said about Chimaev on the show Me The Money Podcast.
“I don’t believe that Dricus will be eliminated. I don’t think he will be cut. I don’t think he’s ready.
“I really believe that Dricus will fight that up.
‘I think if he slows down the way [he did] Against Kamaru [Usman] Against me, against a few other hunters, the fight went late. I think it’s a nightmare to fight against Dricus … “
“The man comes like a crazy truck,” Burns said that Chimaev hurried his opponents with his struggle.
“The only way to stop the truck is to have a car crash with the car. If you have a car accident, Dricus, he has to fight against the adversity, but with the same energy. He has to give back a lot of energy. That says both boys get exhausted in the second round.
“But I really believe that Dricus fights with all the experience, many five rounds, I think he can recover, dig deep and he hits so hard.
“Maybe a decision,” Burns said about how Du Plessis beat Chimaev.
“But I do believe a late finish. Not even so late. I think I am third until the fourth round. That is my prediction.”
