George Hirst scored his first international goal and Che Adams took a hat trick when Scotland left a 4-0 win against Liechtenstein.

Ipswich striker Hirst posted Scotland three ahead in the Vaduz-friendly early early in the second half with a close-range finish on his third cap.

Che Adams was on goal twice in the first half after only scoring once in his previous 19 internationals and the Torino went home with the last action of the game.

It was a night of scoops for Scotland with Ross Doohan, Doig, Andy Irving, Connor Barron and Kieron Bowie who made their debut and Lennon Miller made an impressive first start with a hand in two goals.

Doohan flew into a family vacation in Turkey after he had been handed over his first call-up after injuries to Angus Gunn and Robby Mccrorie, and the difficult debut of Cieran Slicker in the 3-1 defeat on Friday by Iceland.

The departing goalkeeper of Aberdeen probably had the quietest game of his career, did not have to make a save and hardly touch the ball in the second half.

With Scott Mctominay and Kieran Tierney injured, 18-year-old Motherwell midfielder Miller and Adams came in when Steve Clarke stood in line with a 4-4-2 formation. Anthony Ralston, Jack Hendry and Scott McKenna came to defense when Clarke made six changes.

Scotland worked to limit the victories at Liechtenstein in their only two earlier meetings in the Euro 2012 qualifications, but there was little doubt about the winner of this meeting from the fourth minute when Adams opened the score.

Miller’s volley was blocked after a corner and the Torino striker hit the rebound in the roof of the net.

Lewis Ferguson missed a considerable opportunity before Adams doubled his count in the 26th minute. Miller was involved again, won possession when the home team tried to give the ball from the back and set up Adams to make the goalkeeper the wrong foot.

John McGinn had stored a shot well after Miller’s only in the full-back and Doohan almost got his first taste of meaningful action when Home Wing-back Kenny Kindle was allowed to walk a long way with the ball and put away a shot. His effort has just cleared the top corner.

The 1600 Away fans were entertained during the break by a Swiss-based pipe band and she welcomed again within three minutes after the restart.

McGinn hit the pole from 20 meters before Adams flashed on Ralston’s cross for Hirst to convert at the Achterste Post.

Sassuolo Left-back Doig and West Ham midfielder Irving were brought up for debut just before the hour.

Doig got the left wing with good effect and forced a rescue before Hibernian striker Bowie and Rangers -midfielder Barron entered the fight.

Scotland continued to play in half of the opposition and Adams went home who replaces Tommy Conway’s near-post cross, immediately before the full-time whistle.
