Manchester United legend Gary Neville has finally been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame.
United career
Neville spent his entire career at the club, coming through the youth team with the likes of David Beckham and Paul Scholes.
Marcel made his debut in 1992 and would retire in 2011.
He played 602 times for United, placing him fifth on the all-time appearance list.
Neville scored seven goals during his United career and won everything there was to win.
The England international has won eight league titles, three FA Cups and two Champions Leagues during his career.
He was also named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year five times during his career.
Hall of Fame
According to The Daily Mailthe 50-year-old “has become the 25th person to be inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame.”
The report continues: “Neville was presented with a Hall of Fame medallion at Old Trafford by United legend Bryan Robson ahead of the Red Devils’ match against Brighton to mark the moment.”
Neville said of the event on Sky Sports: “It’s a really nice moment and made even more special by the fact that my hero growing up Bryan Robson, who was the embodiment of everything I wanted to be as a child, presented it to me.”
He continued: “and the fact that the 24 previous winners voted for it, but yes, I played with some incredible footballers under a great manager at Old Trafford in front of these fans. So my job was made a lot easier every week by the quality that surrounded me.”
Neville is the club’s ninth representative to be elected to the illustrious club, joining Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, David Beckham, Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes, Rio Ferdinand, Andy Cole and Sir Alex Ferguson.
