Klaravich Stables’ Fully subscribed showed her class in her stakes debut, entering the stretch with a slew of contenders and pulling away under jockey Dylan Davis for a 4 1/2-length win in Saturday’s Grade 2, $300,000 Mother Goose, a nine-furlong route for sophomore fillies, at Aqueduct Racetrack.

Fully Subscribed was one of two promising first-time winners sent out for the 68th edition of the Mother Goose, along with Foal Freedomfor five-time Eclipse Award-winning trainer Chad Brown. Fully subscribed, from post 6, wasn’t part of the pacing scenario early on Queen Azteca he led the nine-horse field through a first quarter-mile in 24 seconds, half in 48.43 and three-quarters in 1:13.15 on the fast track.

Fully Subscribed, who won on a high-profile circuit on her local debut in October 2024 and finished second in an optional claimer in September, showed form that belied the fact she was making her stakes debut and only a fourth start overall. Davis urged Fully Subscribed into the turn and encouraged his lead right-handed once into the stretch. Fully Subscribed was more than willing to use its late closing speed and pull out Drexel Hill in what was once a tight field, to complete the course in 1:49.73.

“She broke well. She’s really maturing,” Davis said. “I really like her in two corners. I just broke well and had a great trip three wide, a little bit busy in the second corner, thought it was a bit early but the [other] filly didn’t hit me that quickly. I thought I had a lot of horse to just keep going and keep going, she responded really well. I think she was the best here. Great job for the team.”

Drexel Hill, returning from a six-month layoff in her first start since finishing second to Good Cheer in the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks on May 2 at Churchill Downs, was again the runner-up, beating 4-1 favorite Lemon peel by a neck for place honor. So there she was finished fourth with Our daydreaming girlQueen Azteca, Filly Freedom, Be myself And Go to the Duckboats completing the order of finishing.

“She was a little bit off the first corner from that post, but I thought so [Davis] did a good job of working his way back a little bit,” said Brown, who won his fourth race on the card. “There was an early move from another horse in there and he worked his way down and saved a little bit of ground going into the last turn. When he took her again, and it was just him and Drexel Hill, I thought I had a pretty good chance since the other filly was undischarged. She really drove home the right way.

“She is a horse that we have always thought a lot about but unfortunately missed most of her three-year-old year due to injury, but she is back and doing well and my team has done a great job bringing her back,” Brown added.

At 7-2, Fully Subscribed paid $9 on a $2 win bet. She increased her career earnings to $245,300 via the $165,000 winner’s share. She became the second progeny of 2020 Grade 1 Belmont Stakes presented by NYRA Bets winner Tiz the Law to win a graded stakes on Saturday, while Tiz Dashing won the Grade 3 Hill Prince two races earlier.

Fully entered gave Brown his third Mother Goose win, joining Dunbar Road [2019] and Gerrymander [2022].

“I think she’s a horse with a bright future,” Brown said. “Me and Seth [Klarman] trying to organize our 2026 line-up. At the end of the year we trade a number of horses here during the racing age sale. We’ve sold a few in the past week, more expensive horses like Randomized and Signal From Noise. We always plan ahead for next year and she is a horse that fits into our plans for 2026. We will keep that in mind and be in no rush to get her back.”

Drexel Hill, ridden by Hall of Famer Javier Castellano, looked strong in her first race at the Big A since winning a one-turn mile in the Listed Busher, which earned her key qualifying points for the Kentucky Oaks, where she rallied from last in the 13-horse field to finish second.

Trainer Whit Beckman said the Bolt d’Oro filly performed admirably after the layoff.

“It was a great comeback,” Beckman said. “She stayed a lot closer, committed around the turn. I think fitness and the layup hit her at the quarter pole when she drifted wide. She rode home well and we’re happy to get second. We’ll bring her back home and start planning things from there.”
