Fujikura’s axioma iron shafts fight against the stigma that graphite irons are only for slower or older players.
Now there are more options.
Fujikura has just added new 95-R, 95-S and 125-S flex and weight profiles to participate in the original six profiles, so that various new player profiles fit into the shaft.
The Axiom line was released in 2023 and brings its own Velocore technology to Fujikura’s wild popular ventus and Ventus TR Woods lines for irons. Ventus is the number 1 wooden shaft on the PGA Tour, with one-on-three players who use Velocore in their driver, according to Darrell Survey. Ventus Driver Shafts won all four major championships this year.
The platform is known for a super stable and consistent feeling in all profiles, from the traditionally weighted 75 g profiles, all the way to the 125-X profile, which is designed for speeds at tour level and ash taxes.
Fujikura used his fast Enso-analyzes, which monitors a shaft during the golf swing to develop the line.
The addition of the 95 g profiles and the S-flex in the 125 g profile came directly from player and fitter feedback during the two-plus year since Axiom was launched.
“The challenge with Axiom was to take Velocore technology and make an iron shaft that improved the critical score shots of players,” said Fujikura Product & Brand Manager TJ Spidle. “It was in the making for two years, and it was a huge success. More and more golfers play with Axiom and seeing a positive change in their iron play.
“Now we have been able to strengthen the Axiom line with 95 and 125-s. Whatever the swing characteristics are, we help more and more players to maximize their potential and get the ball closer to their goal with greater consistency.”
My thoughts!
More options for more players are always great.
Adding a 95-gram option for Axiom seems like a no-brainer, because it is a very popular weight class for both existing steel and graphite users. I really saw 95 g of axioms that take over Elite Junior Circuits.
The 125-s option is something that is really intriguing to me as someone who thought they would fit seamlessly in the 125-X, but I honestly felt that it is a bit too plate for my taste. I am someone who pulls the shaft hard and I like to feel that the shaft is going to move a little at the bottom.
For me, the 125-s option may be something that gives me that feeling, compared the sturdy 125-x, but just like you I will have to test to find out if it actually fits well, or just makes sense on paper.
What will be really interesting is if Fujikura continues to add to add more weight and flex profiles as a weight class of 115 g, it seems to be the most logical as an option for aging elite players or players who just want a smaller package.

Fujikura axiom iron axis
Axiom introduces an unparalleled level of the performance of Iron Axis. For the first time, Fujikura’s own Velocore technology is integrated into an iron shaft that produces the same leading performance extensions that is initially introduced in Ventus and Ventus TR. Extreme accuracy and consistency in combination with unparalleled processability offer golfers the same level of trust that they expect from Velocore-driven products. Whatever the intake requires, Axiom delivers. Velocore technology is the engine that drives axioma -iron performance. An extremely stable platform provides optimized results on every shot by affected dispersion, increased bullet speeds and improved accuracy. Axiom is designed in a unique 3-parallel system that creates a constant weight and creates the torque values during the set of decreasing torque values. Consisting of a long parallel ( #2, #3, #4), a mid -parallel, ( #5, #6, #7) and a short parallel ( #8, #9, W), provides more versatility in design and material integration versus a single empty shaft. Each iron is specifically tipped to compliment each design, reducing SKU count and the results are maximized.
