The Minnesota Frost recently completed a very successful summer camp Tria ice rink In St. Paul, with 131 young female players who skate in addition to numerous members of the Frost and coaching staff.
The camp, held on the same ice rink where both the prince and the Minnesota Wild practice of the NHL, was split into three groups – 44 players at the U8 level, 41 on U10 and 46 at U12 – and designed to offer the young athletes a real professional hockey experience. Campers rotated through skills sessions, off-item training in the gym of the prince and team building activities that reflect the back-to-back PWHL Championship-Winning Clubs Values of teamwork, growth and pleasure.
Frost players Natalie Buchbinder” Claire Butorac” Britta Curl-Salemme” Taylor Heise” Nicole Hensley” Maddie Rooney And Grace ZumwinkleTogether with assistant coaches Samantha Hanson and Critter Johnson, served as instructors all week. Each group of campers received hands-on coaching from the Pros, whether it is about refining skating and puck handling exercises, learning learning objectives or testing their fitness in off-Ice training.

For many of the campers, the highlight was direct contact with the players they cheer during the PWHL season.
“Frost Summer Camp was all that Minnesota hockey goes – community and connection,” said Claire Bjerke, the director of Hockey and Game Operations of Frost. “Our campers developed skills, shared laughing and reminders that we hope that we will have a lasting impact. Campers were led by Frost players and coaches, trained in the Frost Gym, and could even jammed to one of the team of the team of the team that have the team playing lists. The camp underlined the reputation of Minnesota as the ‘State of Hockey’, where the development of grassroots and professional excellence continues to cross. By investing time and energy in youth programs, the monarch strengthened their connection with families and made sure that the next generation of players sees a clear path from local ice rinks to the PWHL phase.
When the campers left the ice rink after the last session, many not only wore sharper hockey skills, but also a deeper connection with the game and the team. For the prince that was the real victory of the week.
