Frappart appointed referee for UEFA Ladies Euro 2025 final

French referee, Stephanie Frappart, as appointed as the referee for the Euro 2025 final of the UEFA Women’s Euro.

Frappart had taken the lead over three games in the tournament, including the Comeback 1-1 draw from Switzerland against Finland in their last group A-match Plus the quarterfinals victory of Italy over Norway.

The 41-year-old also took the lead over the 2-0 victory of Germany on Debutants, Poland in their group C opener, but was not selected for the second round of group matches, nor the semi-final.

UEFA, however, has entrusted Frappart to kick off the final between England and Spain on Sunday 27 July in St. Jakob-Park, Basel, Switzerland, in an 18:00 CEST (17:00 BST).

Speaking of her appointment as a referee for the final, Frappart expressed her pride that UEFA was selected for the showpiece competition.

“I am very happy that I was selected to referee the euro -final of the women. It is a great honor and a proud moment at the end of a wonderful tournament.”

UEFA referee director, Roberto Rosetti, added: “We are satisfied with the performances of the referees at this tournament. The female referees have taken a huge step forward in terms of physical preparation and the quality of officializing.

“Stéphanie Frappart earns this agreement because she is a role model for the young generation of female referees because of her professionalism and attitude on and next to the field.”
