Tottenham -manager Thomas Frank is convinced that he will add to his team before the closure of the summer transfer window.
This week Spurs suffered a setback and transfer target ebereechi eze decided to reject a movement in favor of Arsenal.
The decision of the Crystal Palace Player came after Spurs were also frustrated at the pursuit of Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White earlier in the window.
Frank would like to add creativity by his side in the absence of Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison, but are convinced that additions will arrive. Premier League clubs have until 1 September to complete signing sessions.
“We are on the market and we will look to strengthen the team. We have a good team and good players. I see 23 players who work hard on a game plan for Manchester City tomorrow,” he said at his press conference for the game.
“We have to do everything we can to be as competitive as possible. I am convinced that we will sign a player before the end of the window. Two players in, two players so probably a bit similar.
“It’s the same level, but that’s good. It is my job and that of my staff to ensure that we can compete. Every club wants to sign players as early as possible, but it’s not that easy. I’m a positive guy, I’m not that scared.
“I believe something will happen.”
About Eze’s decision to reject his side in favor of Arsenal, Frank added: “I am not talking about specific players unless they are in our fantastic club.
“There have been many rumors, often there is nothing in it. That is part of the company.
“They are a few things, the club works very hard to see if we can strengthen the team with players who can improve the team. That is what we continue to do until the end of the window.”
