New York Mets Infielder Francisco Lindor joined the 30-30 club of Major League Baseball on Thursday evening when he bat his 30th home run of the season against the Chicago Cubs. It is the second time in his career that he has hit 30 home runs and stolen 30 bases in the same season, which puts him on a fairly exclusive list of stars in competition history.
Francisco Lindor Only 16th player to reach Feat Two Tule Times
A rare player is needed to be able to touch 30 home runs and the speed to steal 30 bases in the same season, and Only 50 players have actually achieved it.
Only 16 of those players, including Lindor, did it more than once.

More rarity with the performance of Francisco Lindor
It is not only the fact that Lindor has two 30-30 seasons that places him in a rare company. He is also only the second short stop that two has ever had, a member of Kansas City Royals -Superster Bobby Witt Jr.
Lindor is also the second meeting to reach the 30-30 marking this year teammate Juan Soto joined the club with his first 30-30 season. That makes Lindor and Soto only the third set of teammates who ever go 30-30 in the same season and join former Mets teammates Howard Johnson and Darryl Strawberry (1987), as well as former Colorado Rockies teammates Dante Bichette and Ellis Burks (1996).
Soto is four stolen bases removed from joining to the even rarer 40-40 club.
Lindor’s previous 30-30 season came in 2023 when he hit 31 home runs to go with 31 stolen bases. He missed the performance in 2024 with only one stolen base and ended that season with 33 home runs and 29 stolen bases. He was oh so close to three consecutive 30-30 seasons.
